The cougar data system really suits my needs at the race school. It's so easy to use. Its simple to point out to the race school pupils ways to make an improvement, what gear, what breaking points, when they are being lax on throttle off to brake on, corner speed, how they are bringing the power on. It's all so straightforward to explain to the customer when you have a trace on the screen or graph printed out.
It helps using the memory cards sometimes between the sessions they have quite short breaks, so if the instructor and customer want to get back out quickly, the cards allow us to swap the card for another in a second and look at the data while the rider is out on the track.
At the end of the customer's day we can basically find and print off the customer's fastest lap graphs and let them compare their lap to a slightly faster lap time, ridden by myself. Just something to aim for!
When teaching or doing pillion rides I have a cougar data recorder with a cougar lap display fitted to my bike to watch the lap times - the big display is great so clear to see when you cross the line.
The system is superb I would recommend it to anyone who's serious about improving their lap time, track day riders to professional race teams alike.
