Lap display
The lap display unit can be used as a stand alone lap timer or as a lap timer / channel monitor for the datarecording units.
The unit has a super-size seconds display to enable the driver/rider to grasp the relevant information with the briefest of viewings. The unit is backlit giving a high contrast display.
In stand alone mode the lap receiver plugs directly into the unit and the unit has a power connection to the vehicle, 99 lap times are recorded, fastest lap, in lap, out lap is indicated. Using the keys the user can scroll down the laps and times recorded. The supply voltage is shown in the channel menu.
In connected mode the lap receiver plugs into the loom of the system or directly into the minilogger. The lap display unit then has its own 4 way connection for power and signal from the cougardata recorder system. Lap number, lap times, in lap, out lap, memory connected, are indicated on the screen from the system. Selecting channels from the key pad the user can scroll down the various data channels and check that these are connected and working. The system provides the total detonation count number.

Mounting
The unit has a flat rear case to enable the unit to have a vecro fixing to a flat surface. Steering yoke fitting are also available – see office for details
